The BEAUTY of Arabic Language...

Just wanna share some things that I obtain after attending 'kuliah after magrib' at the surau near my house...

I just realize that there are differences in these two words...

جَعَلَ and خَلَقَ

both of these words mean 'CREATE/MAKE'....( it is in past tense, so, it means, 'created')....

what are the differences???
well,

are for things that have mass, can be seen, and can be touched. For example, the earth, sky, human being, and others.

Base on surah 'Alaq(91), verse 2-

'Created man from a clot'

are for things that do not have mass, and cannot be touched. For example, angels (malaikat), darkness(kezaliman), light(nur, or hidayah), and others.

Based on surah Al-Fatir(35), verse 1-

Praise be to Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who appointeth(created, made) the angels messengers having wings two, three and four. He multiplieth in creation what He will. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things.

Here is another example for the above explanation....From Surah Al-An'aam(6), verse 1-

'Praise be to Allah, Who hath created the sky and the earth, and hath appointed (made, created) darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their Lord.'

There are other examples in the Quran...but I have just listed 3 here...
Sorry if my explanation is quite complicated...

to kumayl-

i don't know the mass of the sky.huhu..(but there must be)

how do we touch it?
i also don't know..the sky is so,so,so, far away,...

well, ustaz gave the sky as an example...

well, sky is one example of 'khalaqa' as it is something that we can SEE with our own bared eyes..

like malaikat, and nur@hidayah, we can't see them....

so, that's y, the ustaz said that 'khalaqa' is something with mass, can be touched, and we can see them with our own eyes....

(huhu...quite hard to explain,sorry..)
